Mary Alexander Sustainable Design

Through education and a heightened awareness of global issues, sustainable or “Green” design has become a well deserved hot topic.
We are always excited when we have the opportunity to assist our Clients in making educated decisions as they build new homes, renovate existing residences or update their corporate interior.

From simple concepts like Reduce, Re-Use, Recycle to making larger investments in renewable materials that are more energy efficient and have less negative impact on our planet, there are many ways to make your project more environmentally friendly and socially beneficial. The best news is that this approach can be affordable, functional and beautiful!

Mary Alexander is LEED AP certified (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional) and is a member of the U.S. Green Building Council.  She has become educated as a leader in conscious design for the good of the Earth and to meet the challenges of our diminishing natural resources.  Mary is able to guide her Clients in making informed design decisions that will last for years to come.

Mary’s studio is currently designing several projects that can earn LEED Certification.  Even before certification she and her staff have completed many projects that have taken an “Earth First” approach.  You can review several of the projects that have incorporated aspects of sustainable design on this website.  They are based on emotionally resonant, functional and enduring concepts.

We’re fans of the movement and are pleased to share some of our favorite “Green” materials with you below.
